One of my cherished possessions is the Kid's (my Dad's) Bible. It's filled with his notes and writings. I've said before that he loved to write notes and stash them around as daily reminders of encouragement. Today I wanted to share this note that he had taped to the inside cover of his Bible.
"He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: His heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord."
Psalm 112:7
"They need not fear evil tidings. A good man shall have a settled spirit. And it is the endeavour of true believers to keep their minds stayed upon God, and so to keep them calm and undisturbed; and God has promised them both cause to do so, and grace to do so. Trusting in the Lord is the best and surest way of establishing the heart."*
The righteous will live by his faith is taken from Hebrews 10:38. "But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back"
